Amazing Music: Deliver Me
See, I don’t consider myself to be religious, but I do consider myself to be a believer. I believe that I create my destiny, I believe there is an invisible force that pushes me, I believe there is something, I just don’t know what I believe “exactly.” I do love the lyrics of this song though. I like to think the one that is pulling me through is the “call it whatever you want” inside of me, rather then Jesus or God.
I am a man driven by things such as happy people, successful people, driven people, motivational music, inspiring music, beautiful things, etc…
This is definitely inspiring music to me. I know it’s slow, but slow songs like this really push me. Maybe a few of you out there feel the same way I do about music, and maybe this might push you, or maybe it’ll make some of you sad. But let me know if this song is just sad to you, or inspiring.
Deliver me, out of my sadness
Deliver me, from all of the madness
Deliver me, courage to guide me
Deliver me, strength from inside meAll of my life I’ve been in hiding
Wishing there was someone just like you
Now that you’re here, now that I’ve found you
I know that you’re the one to pull me throughDeliver me, loving and caring
Deliver me, giving and sharing
Deliver me, the cross that I’m bearingAll of my life I was in hiding
Wishing there was someone just like you
Now that you’re here, now that I’ve found you
I know that you’re the one to pull me throughDeliver me
Deliver me
Oh deliver meAll of my life I was in hiding
Wishing there was someone just like you
Now that you’re here, now that I’ve found you
I know that you’re the one to pull me throughDeliver me
Oh deliver me
Won’t you deliver me
Mac OS X vs Windows 7
Now, I am not some Apple expert yet, but I have been in the computer industry for quite some time now. All aspects of it, hardware, software, networking, programming, and of course the internet. I have been a computer nerd at heart my entire life, and it will never change, I couldn’t live without a computer, as simple as that. Desktops, gadgets, laptops, monitors, printers, they all tickle me happy. Weird? I grew up on Windows, from day one, which was approximately 4th grade, so 11-12 years ago? I got into web design in 6th grade. So about 10 years ago, I got into my programming phase, and ever since I have been addicted. So I am going to be giving you my insight from the transition from Windows to Mac OS X.
Windows
Like I said, I have been using Windows for years, just recently I transitioned over to Mac OS X, just about 8 months ago, in May of this year. Now don’t get me wrong, Windows is a great operating system, well now it is. Linux, and Mac OS have always been more stable than any Windows operating system before Windows Vista. They finally stepped it up and fixed a lot of compatibility issues with Vista, it took some time before Vista even picked up, Service Pack 1 fixed a lot of the Vista issues. Now Windows 7 is out, and now Windows actually feels like a stable operating system, all this time while Mac OS X and Linux have been superior. I just didn’t have the balls to switch. Unfortunately Windows has the entire market share, why? Because Bill Gates sold his operating system giving other manufacturers the ability to preload their systems with Windows. Steve Jobs didn’t, Steve Jobs kept Mac OS X to himself, and only himself, Mac OS X could only be purchased from his store on his hardware, a totally different marketing strategy, exclusivity.
Positive notes on Windows:
- Huge market share, 90% or higher; meaning more available software
- Drastically cheaper prices; Desktops & notebooks
- More options; sizes, colors, styles, the list goes on (I’m talking physical hardware appearance, cases, colors, styles, etc…)
- Available software and devices; more software, and more hardware
I hate to say this, but after being addicted to windows for 11 years, and recently switching to Mac OS X, it’s hard to find the upsides in Windows anymore. Do you know how much time has been saved switching to Mac OS X? How much productivity has increased? It was definitely worth the price to me. Sure I can pick up a pretty solid comparable laptop for $1000 instead of the $1700 I paid for my 15.4″ MacBook Pro. But like they say, you get what you pay for.
Windows does in fact have a lot, and I mean A LOT more available software, and hardware like I stated above. What I use to get a lot from people, and still get from Windows geeks, is that Windows is more customizable, more complex, and you can do more. These people are ignorant, and have no idea the capabilities of what Mac OS X is able to do. Windows just has more software to tinker with your UI, and settings, but Mac OS X has a pretty damn sufficient list of available software, and is definitely increasing by the month.
With the launch of the iPod, iPhone, and new MacBook’s and iMac’s. Apple is definitely gaining the exposure it needs, especially for being exclusive only. You cannot just pick up an HP, Gateway, Dell, Aspire, Acer, etc… Their are hundreds of manufacturers pumping out Windows machines, while Apple is just Apple, and will ALWAYS be that way no matter what.
So to end on a light note with Windows, Windows works, but not like Mac OS X, whether you are just browsing the web, printing documents, a designer, a video editor, a business man, whatever. Mac OS X in my opinion can handle anything and everything better than Windows. Windows gets frustrating installing software, dealing with drivers, dealing with updates, and oh my god, Virus’ and Spyware is a totally different situation… Ever since my Mac OS X, I have not once had to deal with a virus or spyware infection, I don’t even have Virus/Spyware software installed on my fucking Mac, hah. I guess that wasn’t necessarily a light note. Oops.
PS. Someone in Windows’ defense one time told me Windows can compile code, and Mac OS X can’t… Are you an idiot, of course Mac OS X can compile code, just not C++, rawr!
Mac OS X
So I made the switch like I said, about 8 months ago, and it’s been nothing but amazing. The day I picked up the MacBook Pro, I fell in love at first with their new TouchPad, omg… The TouchPad alone is worth the $1700 I paid for the laptop. The new TouchPad is a multi-touch gangster TouchPad, and can literally tell how many fingers you are swiping or clicking with. It makes browsing the web, reading emails, switching desktops, switching applications, a fucking breeze.
So, Mac OS X. Drivers? Viruses? Spyware? Compatibility issues? Application conflicts? Driver conflicts? Missing .DLL files? Ummm, they simply don’t exist… I plug something in, it works. I download or buy software, all you have to do is drag a big ass icon to your application folder, and you’re done. It just works. The fluidity, simplicity, and complexity of Mac OS X, is simply ingenious. The designers, developers, and innovators of this Operating system (OS), deserve a good ‘ole pat on the back. Seriously.
Simplicity and complexity, what do I mean? The simplicity the OS displays to the user on the front end is amazing, it’s easy to use, it’s the most common sense to use front-end design I have ever seen, it just works. Now this is annoying to most Windows users at first, I can hear them saying “it’s just to simple.” This is where they give up, and I did too a few years ago, I attempted to use Mac OS X, but I gave up a month in. Wish I didn’t… The complexity lies underneath when you dig a little deeper, I mean, first of all, the system comes with Terminal, this might not mean much to some people, but the system is based off *NIX, FreeBSD I believe, correct me if I am wrong in a comment below. Based off Linux might not mean much to the average user, but lets just say it’s more stable
, to programmers, server guys, like me, it means a lot. Terminal gives me the ability to SSH into other *NIX machines, and control them via command line, Terminal is basically gangster, haha, I won’t waste anymore time in this article explaining what it is. The capabilities of Mac OS X, is unexplainable, I can’t explain it, the OS is easy-to-use and can do anything and everything you would ever need with complete ease. I have never once had the machine freeze on me, spit a dirty error message at me, driver conflicts, nothing, nodda, zilch.
Positive notes on Mac OS X:
- No conflicts; ever
- Simplicity; the front-end user interface
- Complexity; what you can do with the machine
- Beauty; the machines look like a the most beautiful booty you have ever stared at in your life?
Conclusion
I highly recommend selling all of your Windows machines, growing some balls, and making the switch. Scared to lose your email, your Outlook, your Word, your documents? Fuck it, it all works on Mac OS X, you can have it all just as easily, stop being a pussy and switch now. Can’t afford it? Save up, and do it. You won’t regret it. Buy a MacBook Pro and an iMac, and your life will have been changed drastically for the better.
The simplicity, the complexity, the beauty of Mac OS X is absolutely breath taking, make the change. Trust me, you won’t ever regret it. – Andrew Fashion

The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)
What It’s About
The movie is about two best friends, one poor, one rich. The rich friend envies his poor friend, and ends up betraying the poor friend and sending him to jail for 15 years. The poor friend cannot read, write, and basically lacks any talent, and is sent away to prison. His fiance thinks he is dead, and of course his best friend who betrayed him, ends up marrying her. The poor friend in jail meets an old wise man, and in exchange for him to help the old man dig out of jail, he would teach him everything he knows, math, economics, sword fighting, history, reading, writing, etc… They end up digging for 8 years or what not, and he gets out of jail, you can watch the movie to figure out the rest.
Why It’s My Favorite
This is definitely my all time favorite movie, and has been for quite some time now. The fact that the man is driven by so much anger, drives him to learn so much, and get his way out, he becomes very smart, talented, and the richest man in the world. Definitely worth the watch.

Peaceful Warrior (2006)
What It’s About
Peaceful warrior is about a kid who is very good at gymnastics, I know it’s cheesy, I’m not a gymnast. He shatters his legs from a motorcycle accident, and the doctor says he will never be able to do gymnastics again. But of course, this being a movie, he finds a way. He meets an old wise man, who throughout the movie has a lot of incredible quotes, and insight. The old wise man helps the young boy clear his mind, break free, figure out who he is, and help him grow. After all of the brain-training, he then proceeds to help and inspire the kid to start training again. The kid works his ass off, and his legs start working again, he then proceeds to be famous, I won’t tell you what happens, so watch the movie. Based on a true story.
Why It’s My Favorite
What I really love about this movie, is the desperation this kid has, the determination, and how he finds himself, and fights with himself to grow. It’s really a great movie, with great wisdom from the old wise man, and just an overall inspirational film.

Never Back Down (2008)
What It’s About
Basically this movie is about a guy who moves to a new state, and his father recently passed away from a car crash. He let his father drive even though he was drunk. The new school he gets to, there is basically a “fight club,” and the “bad ass” taunted the kid about his father because he wanted to fight him. He kicks his ass, and drives the guy to basically become an insane MMA fighter, simply for revenge, not because he wants to fight. So he gets his revenge hardcore, pretty intense.
Why It’s My Favorite
I like this movie, simply because the dude is insanely cut, it inspires me to hit the gym. But also, the guy becomes an insane MMA fighter and gets revenge and the girl, nothing is better then that. Haha.

I love this movie simply because of Achilles, he’s just one insane bad ass in this movie, he hates the king, doesn’t obey to anybody’s orders at all, he does what he wants, how he wants, even though he lived in a time where you were forced to obey the King. I love his independence, his strength, his loyalty, and his skills. He also gets an insanely beautiful women in the movie.

Your House Is Not An Asset!
I am going to be reviewing Rich Dad Poor Dad the book. This is the first motivational book I picked up probably about two years ago, and I don’t think I ever did a review. It’s absolutely life changing. This is a book that will get you to a point of thinking outside of the box, but it’s your job to take it from there. The author of the book is Robert Kiyosaki, and he is actually one of my favorite self-made successful people I respect the most.
The book is about Robert’s life as a little boy and how he grew up with his real father, his Poor Dad, and his best friends father he considered his Rich Dad. He tells the story as he was a little kid, probably around the age of 9, all the way up to an adult, and what he has learned from both fathers, he also tells his success and how he failed many times, lost all of his money and ended up living in his car. The story is not only very educating, it’s very inspiring. Robert really covers a lot in this book, he covers his thoughts on financial literacy, and his belief on the school system, how the school system isn’t teaching our kids about money, how to manage money, and how to invest it properly. His belief on the school system is that they basically pump out educated kids who are good enough at what they need to know to work for someone else for the rest of their lives. He educates you a little bit on taxes, and how the rich benefit from tax laws, and how the rich pay less in taxes. This book changed my perspective, gave me a grip, inspired me, and revealed the truth. You can dig even deeper, and read his other books which really opened the doors for me, his writing is phenomenal.
This book is a must buy, and an absolute must read right now.
He explains how your house is a liability and not an asset. It’s actually quite funny, I posted this question on Facebook, and got a bunch of replies, 100% of them saying it’s an asset. Read the conversation below, and tell me what you notice.
The Facebook Controversy
There is only one person in the conversation who understands the Rich Dad concept, because he read the book, so don’t count Joe Jackson for now
Sorry Joe, lol. Now I am a firm believer of Rich Dad’s theory, because I am here to make money, not listen to what we have been grown up to believe. It comes down to such simplicity, and common sense. Liabilities take money from you, assets put money into your pocket. Now I know that may be hard to grasp at first, because you’re saying to yourself, the value of my house went up last year. Oh it did, well have you sold it, are you going to sell it? That’s great, but what Rich Dad is trying to do is open your mind to the world of cash flow, and making money. You really do need to read his entire book to understand his meaning of the definition fully. Go ahead and take a look at his video.
Liabilities
Your house, your toys, your boat, your Rolex, your $2000 Armani suit, they are not assets. Your bank has been lying to you. It cost money out of your pocket to maintain all of your toys, insurance, maintenance, rent, HOA, electricity, roofing, the list goes on and on. If the bank defines a liability debt you have to repay, why are they telling you it’s an asset, they are not assets just because you own them. These toys are debt, technically speaking the bank owns your asset if you miss a payment. So who the hell really owns it. Your house and toys are not assets. They are liabilities, they cost you money, and you are in debt to them.
Liability: Something you own that takes money out of your pocket
I always thought that owning a bigger house, better cars, and more expensive toys meant I was rich, it doesn’t. You’re an idiot if you think that. I learned this the hard way, reality agrees with Rich Dad’s definition, and so does the rich.
Assets
So what the hell is asset? An asset is something that puts money into your pocket, the complete opposite of a liability, look at that. For example, you own two houses, the 2nd house you decide to rent out, the rent you charge less expenses = cashflow. Cashflow is what defines a true asset. The 2nd house is an asset. Say you own a business, and the business is profiting each month, your business is an asset. Say you have a stock that pays dividends, your stock is an asset. Say you have a 100k car, and you rent your car to people every month and you make money, then your car would be an asset. Say you own a 12 unit apartment building, and you rent it out, and you are cashflowing, that piece of real estate would then be considered an asset.
Now I know you are saying right now in your head, but my house went up in value, good for your house, you still owe your house to the bank, get a grip. Capital gains is pure speculation, it’s a myth. Yes, if you decide to sell the roof over your head and have no place to live and your house does sell and you make more then what you put into it, good for you, you sold your house and made some cash, it still doesn’t define it as an asset. The last 15 years you were living in it, was debt you owed to the bank to have a roof over your head, you were losing money. I know you are not investing into your house for capital gains, you are buying your house to put a fucking roof over your head. I am sorry if I offended you, but the reality is clear, and the bank is lying to you. So remember, capital gains is capital gains, it’s profit from an investment. Yes your house is an investment, but it’s not an asset, it’s a liability. Capital gains is means to end, an exit strategy, a way out, and you invest purely for capital gains.
Your house, and your toys are for you personally to pleasure and take care of yourself, and you pull out loans (liability) from the bank to have these toys, and you are in debt to them, if you don’t play nice with the bank, their little piece of paper gives them the right to sweep it from right under your feet.
So remember, cashflow is what defines an asset, not capital gains. Stop thinking losing money to debt you owe to the bank (liability) is an asset.
Asset: Something you own that puts money into your pocket each month or year
Conclusion
My conclusion is this, I already said the book is a must buy. I know if you are reading this for the first time, or this is the first time hearing something like this, it won’t make sense, it will be an absolute shock, and you will probably deny it. I say you pick up the $10 book, read it, and then I invite you to come back here, and tell me what you think. So go buy Rich Dad Poor Dad, read it, come back and talk to me. I read the book in 2 nights, and I am sure you can too. I strongly believe it too, will open your eyes. Don’t resent or envy the rich, get financial education, learn how the rich are rich, do what the rich do, and start right now. Not tomorrow, now, go to the book store, and buy this book now.
Robert Kiyosaki is a self-made multi-millionaire who made it to the top being raised from an average family. He reached the top on his own without any money from his family, which is why I respect him so much, he was able to do it on his own. He went from broke to rich, to broke, to rich again. He made millions, and lost it all, and ended up living in his car, and reached the top again. Even before his book, him and I had the same outlook on life, which is another reason I connect so strongly with this beliefs.
Amazing: The Philip Defranco Show
You have got to check out The Philip Defranco Show, I have been watching this guy ever since he started, well probably just for a few years now, but a damn long time, and his show just never gets old. He basically reports news, stories, douche bags of the day, just anything he feels like talking about it, and has some snarky humor, and I find his jokes very amusing
I went ahead and included his video he posted today, he updates his show Monday through Thursday, so I have a video to watch almost every day! Make sure you check out his videos from years back and check out how crazy his show has changed and how popular this guy became. He is the 6th most subscribed guy of all time on YouTube right now, incredible. He will also post a lot of news, and content on his website http://www.phillyd.tv, that you won’t be able to find on YouTube, NSFW (Not Safe For Work) items, it’s pretty entertaining! Let me know what you think of him, comments please! This is one website, and guy I check out almost everyday because his content is just that amazing.
Amazing Music: Master Shortie
Okay so here is an artist I fell in love with while in London with my ex-girlfriend Stella. She was taking a shower and I was just watching good ole London TV, and Master Shortie popped up with the song “Dead End” playing, and I fucking loved it. He has some crazy pop style music, with his wicked cool London accent, haha. It’s super fun, poppy, partyish, and inspirational, the dude produces his own music, writes his own lyrics, and does his own beats. He just released his first Album just a few months ago, and it’s fucking awesome. It’s called ADHD. So it’s basically effing amazing, here are my two favorite videos of his.
Dead End
Bringing It Back
My Favorite Tracks
- Dead End
- Have It Your Way
- Right Time
- Bringing It Back
- Under The Moon
- Why (Interlude)
You can also check out his MySpace, his website, and his YouTube Channel. You can preview or buy his album from the iTunes Store as well
Buy his music, watch his music videos, and bump his track Dead End and Bringing It Back, and I promise it will make you feel that much better!
